Introduction.
The musk ox is a remarkable creature that has adapted to survive in some of the harshest environments on Earth. These large, shaggy mammals are native to the Arctic regions of North America and Greenland. Their most distinctive feature is their thick, double - layer coat which provides excellent insulation against the frigid cold. The outer guard hairs are long and coarse, while the inner underfur, known as qiviut, is incredibly soft and warm. This coat allows them to endure temperatures that can drop well below - 40 degrees Celsius.
The musk ox is an animal who lives in the tundra also named artic ox(麝牛).Musk ox is the Ovibovina in the tribe caprini or the subfamily.Musk oxen are primary sonsumers because they eat grass and it can been eaten by carnivarey who eat meat.They are mammals.Although they named'牛'
or'ox' ,they are most closely related to goat much and sheep.
Musk ox eat grass in the summer ,when there is not much snow in Greenland.When they weather gets cold with snow ,wind or cold ,they eat branches of shrubs and moss.Musk ox eat them and human sometimes eat them.In the 19th century ,people ate them and use their fur to protect cold.So the numbers of the musk ox disappeared very quickly.Now scientist protect them and try to keep the food chain or web.We should protect the world.
The fur of musk ox is very long, from the back until the nearly to the feet.The musk ox lines in their own line and groups together, often 20 or 30 musk ox, they would not be attacked to someone.The musk ox is as very strong and have a lot of fat to keep warm in the cold artic. The horn of the musk ox is 60cm.It is downward until the side of head.But it also the good thing the people to hunt.So we should protect the animals.
This animal is important because musk ox is not just a strong ,furry animal .The strongest part not just the body ,is the best mind and the strong heart to make the brave to protect cold and looking far far away
